Letters, soundscribers and memos relating to educational matters:applications, publicity for and total value of Beaverbrook scholarships; their terms and conditions; selection of winners; concern over the quality of candidates; Beaverbrook's concern that interest in the teachers' overseas scholarships is slackening; estimated costs of teachers' tours (1926 and 1951); proposed imperial scholarship scheme and problems with the paving job at Beaverbrook School (Beaverbrook Station, N.B.). Also contained in the file are sample bookplates for St. Thomas College (Chatham, N.B.), information about and application forms for Beaverbrook undergraduate scholarships, lists containing information about overseas scholars and Beaverbrook's desire to produce a comprehensive history of the scholarships from them and a typed copy of R.A. Tweedie's remarks to the Associated Alumnae (1957) in which he discussed scholarship schemes and Beaverbrook's other contributions to UNB.
